New PPV Tool

screenshotI’ve been very busy for the past couple of months and I’m ashamed that I haven’t posted any updates during that time. This will be a short post but do I have a lot of content planned for the next couple of weeks. The reason for this post is to let you know that I’ve been working on a new tool for contextual or PPV advertising. Most of you realize there are many different sources for Internet traffic, and as a good little marketers you should diversify your traffic. PPV traffic is just another source that comes from various networks like Traffic Vance and Media Traffic.  Their users agree to having ads displayed in return for free software such as games and screen savers.

I’ve been doing PPV for 4 or 5 months now and built a tool that would help me save time. Currently I am allowing a select group of individuals to beta test this software and will probably release the first version in January. What does it do? The first tip to contextual advertising is finding targeted URLs to trigger your ads. This tool is designed to help you do that. Here is a quick list of features:

  • Scrape up to 500 URLs based on your search terms
  • Pull Compete.com’s ranking and traffic estimates for each domain
  • “Explode” your search list with related domains from Quantcast
  • Export your findings to be used in your campaigns

Some of the features currently in development are:

  • Exact/Phrase match
  • Filter by male/female
  • Filter by demographic to match highest affinity sites
  • Filter sites that allow advertising
  • Google AdPlanner affinity and keyword scraper
  • Include Yahoo and Bing results

Ask any experienced PPV marketer and they will tell you finding relevant URLs is the most tedious and time consuming part of launching a new campaign. The idea is that this tool will allow you to launch and test new campaigns quicker so you can find that profitable  needle in the haystack. That’s it for now but check back often for the official release date.

    Hi Jason,

very interested in the software… let me know if youre interested in the feedback from a total ppv newbie… i make my money online doing ghostwriting for internet gurus, so maybe we can do an exchange of value re your software manual or something.

at any rate, would love to know about your software when it becomes available. currently im locked into an expensive monthly rate with something similar, and i seriously question if i need it and all it does — i may be paying for features i really dont need. yours sounds just right.

much success in 2010, the Year of the Tiger, david

    David,
I’m glad to hear you’re interested in the product but the beta testing is closed for the moment. I am wrapping up the branding and documentation right now — so it won’t be long. The good news is that I am going to release this product along with my PPV Guide completely FREE. I know that sounds crazy but I feel like it’s the best move. I’m all about helping strengthen the community and I think this will help. Stay tuned and you will be the first to know.
